The Private Access module will give you the ability to mark a web page as private and only viewable by authorized users. You will create initial login credentials for all users who need access to the private pages of your site. You can select which authorized users can see which private pages for which they have access rights to once logged in.
Please note that if you had any custom functionality added to the Private Access module not described in the video below, you will be trained on that portion during the Q & A session which will be scheduled once you have submitted this form to confirm you’ve reviewed all the necessary training materials.
Please review the tutorial video below for an overview of adding users and creating private pages with the Private Access section of your website.
Tips, Tricks, and Helpful Hints:
- User logins must be created by you for each individual user you plan to grant access to the private area section of your site. To save on time, if possible, consider creating single ‘group’ login when you can. For example, creating one single ‘staff’ login for all the staff members in your company and one ‘board’ login for all active board members.
- Don’t forget to select ‘Notify User of New Account’ before creating so that the individual is prompted by email to set their own custom password.
- If you forget this step, go to your site login link (http://www.yoursite.com/user) and select ‘Request New Password’. Input the individual’s username or email and the same prompt will be sent to the user.
- There is no limit to the amount of user logins or private pages you can create within the private access area of your site.
